The Leader of Udu Local Government Council Legislative Arm, Rt. Hon. Owholo Emmanuel, has congratulated the newly sworn in Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, describing his swearing in as a major step by the people of Delta State at a time of severe national economic challenges.

Owholo in a statement on Tuesday, said Oborevwori’s manifesto had provided a detailed and promising roadmap for Delta State, adding that his agenda as enshrined in his manifesto would occasion the radical reforms needed for the socio-economic transformation of the state.

The lawmaker, who represents Ward 03, stated these in his congratulatory message to the governor on Tuesday.

He said: “On behalf of the good people DSIEC Ward 03, I congratulate the governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and the people of Delta State on this massive victory and subsequent swearing in.

It was a hard-won victory, but it is worth it, given the quality that Rt. Hon. Oborevwori is expected to bring to bear on the leadership of the State. “With his ambitious vision and programmes, his commitment to transforming Delta State to one of the best in Nigeria is not in doubt”.

Owholo commended Oborevwori for his commitment in his inaugural speech to run an all-inclusive government, saying that the unity and brotherhood of the people of Delta were imperative if the state must experience the much-needed development under the Oborevwori led administration.

He equally urged the people of the state to continue to support and pray for Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as he embarks on the onerous mission of building a new Delta State.
