A 26-year old lady identified as Blessing Ashibuogwu, has allegedly been brutalized and raped on her way to church by the bike rider hired to convey her inside a bush in Idumuine quarters lssele-Uku, headquarters of Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to a source, the victim boarded the bike on her way to church on Sunday August 9, 2020, but instead of taking her to her destination, the rider, identified as Dodo Ndidi Nwaola, rode into the bush, where he allegedly brutalized and raped her.
“He tore her clothes with a jack knife, used plank and cutlass to beat her to the point of death, raped and left her for dead.
The victim currently fighting for her life was rescued by Issele-Uku vigilante and rushed to St. Theresa hospital, Issele-Uku, before she was later transferred to the emergency ward of FMC Asaba. She is in a critical state as we speak,” the source said.
The culprit has been arrested by the police in Issele-Uku and transferred to SCID for questioning.
