…Says APC Achievements For The Past 7 Yrs Are Lies, Deceit, Insecurity
By Rt Hon Sunny Apah
The Delta State PDP Governorship Candidate for the 2023 Governorship election and Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwor, has called on the people of Ughelli North Local Government Area wards 5, 6, 10 and 11 to vote for all candidates of the party in order to unseat APC atvthe federal, whom he described as a party known for lies, insecurity and deceit
Speaking during the campaign visit to the wards, Oborevwori commended Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas, Chief of Staff, Government House, Chief Fred Majemite and other leaders for the massive mobilization which he said 2ill transcend into harvest of votes in 2023.
Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori who is also the National Deputy Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, said the people jettison their businesses and farms to received him and his team because they wanted change.
He lamented the spate of insecurity and poverty in the country, which he said was brought by the APC led federal government through lies and deceit.
He applauded a prominent decampee from the APC to the PDP during the campaign, Col. Peter Onoriede, saying he left the APC synonymous to darkness to the PDP that is synonymous to light.
According to him, “I can assure you that if you vote for me, I will not forget the people of Ughelli North Local Government Area because my M.O.R.E agenda will bring meaningful development, opportunities for all, realistic reforms, and enhanced peace and security”.
He noted that he was a leader with impeccable character who had been able to manage the affairs of the state House of Assembly for over five years without blemishes, unlike the past when a speaker barely piloted the affairs of the house for three years.
While assuring the people of bringing his experiences of past and present political offices held to play when elected, urged the people of Ughelli North Local Government Area to vote Chief Ighoyota Amori for Senate, Delta Central District, saying he had worked tirelessly through the DC-23 to ensure that the governorship seat came to Delta Central District; vote Hon. Solomon Ahwinahwi, House of Representatives candidate, Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency; Mr. Jimmy Idiovwa for Delta State House of Assembly, Ughelli North Constituency I and Hon Onoriode Agofure for Delta State House of Assembly, Ughelli North Constituency II.
Earlier, the Delta State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, said, no sane Nigerian would vote for the All Progressives Congress in 2023 as its policies at the federal government had reduced Nigeria to the world capital of poverty.
“That is why we want to rescue and reset Nigeria. I am happy that wards 5, 6, 10 and 11 in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State have all keyed into this agenda. You are aware that Nigeria is now the headquarters of poverty in the world, courtesy of the APC-led federal government. We are aware that our currency is gradually becoming a mere tissue paper. A dollar today is almost N1000.
“Prices of goods and services have gone high; yet, some persons are still bold enough to say that they are APC members. So, PDP want to change the tide, rescue, and reset Nigeria.
“The head of the mission is Atiku Abubakar, followed by Okowa. There is no way you have Okowa when roads in the south will not be tarred. Burutu, Koko, Warri, and Sapele ports will be taken care of.”
“If Omo-Agege emerges as the state governor, he will direct his development strides to Orhomurhu as he is presently doing, instead of developing Delta Central District that voted for him. We know the power of a governor; we want governor and not senate because we have produced senate severally.
Also, Chief Ighoyota Amori, PDP Senatorial Candidate, Delta Central District; Hon. Solomon Ahwinahwi, House of Representatives candidate, Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency; Hon. Idiovwa Michael Elijah for Delta State House of Assembly, Ughelli North Constituency I and Hon. Onoriode Agofure for Delta State House of Assembly, Ughelli North Constituency II, have promised to attract massive development to Ughelli North Local Government Area, if voted for in 2023.
The candidates, who made the assertions during the Delta State PDP ward-to-ward campaigns to Ughelli North Local Governmen Area wards 5, 6, 10 and 11, said they were in the wards to solicit for votes and on a need assessment of the area.
