The Delta Central leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late former governorship aspirant of the party, Chief Charles Ufuoma Obule, on Tuesday in Sapele.

Fovie said in their condolence message that the death of Obule was not just a loss to the party in particular, but to Delta and Nigeria in general.
He said the party felt his demise, adding that the former Delta Central Senatorial aspirant of the party will always be in their memory.
“Our party has lost a great man, a great financier of the party in Sapele and beyond but we are encouraged that he has completed what God wanted him to do. We are here to condole with the family. The party will be part of the funeral arrangement till interment,” he said.
Fovie described Obule as a detribalised Deltan, who commanded great respect from all sections of the state. “He displayed a high sense of humanity. He placed human value against political and material consideration.
“He led a life of integrity and showed the young and old that politics can be played without bitterness. There are people who will die and people will be happy while some will be missed by their good deeds. Late Obule would be greatly missed for his humility and care for those close to him,” he added
The Delta Central Senatorial District PDP chairman, noted that the deceased hard work would remain fresh in the minds of Urhobos.
On his part, Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party in Okpe Local Government Area, Chief Efe Uko, described Obule as a man of honour and integrity.
Uko said the deceased led a simple life and believed in the unity of Delta Central District. “We urge you his family to uphold those ideals he lived for. Those ideals were; peace, unity, progress, and fair play. He had principles built on fairness and firmness.
“So, we the PDP have come to condole and console the family. Take heart and may Almighty God give you the ability, capacity, strength, and grace to withstand this loss.
Responding on behalf of the family, the daughter of the deceased, Dr. (Mrs.) Jennifer Obule-Akile, expressed delight receiving the delegation.
She said that her father was a good party man who believed in the ideals of PDP, adding that the party is synonymous with her father.
