A front line aspirant vying for the Chairmanship position of Isoko North Local Government Council, Comrade Timothy Ezue, has congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on his Supreme Court Victory over the weekend.
Ezue who has been a committed believer of Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda and Youths O’clock ideology, while speaking to Journalists in his office in Ozoro, welcomed the Apex court’s verdict as a healthy development for the state.
He said; “The judgment of the court was a victory not only for Deltans but also for the nation’s democracy and a reaffirmation of the unbiased role of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the Delta governorship election.
“For the governor to win 21 of the 25 local government areas garnering 260,234 votes compared to the four councils won by the All Progressives Congress, APC, in its 240,229 votes; hence it would have been difficult for the victory pendulum to have swung to another political party.
“Besides, the PDP campaigned in every community and ward in Delta state with the M.O.R.E agenda as the campaign message, a development that endeared the governor to the masses.
“This judgment of the Supreme Court is in tandem with the previous judgments and it is a win for all progressive and well-meaning Deltans across the state and beyond.
“Now that the Court cases which were distractions to the administration of His Excellency Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori are over. I am confident that my peace-loving and youth friendly Governor will continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Delta State via the M.O.R.E agenda and revolutionise the state for all Deltans and visitors to begin to see a new Delta State with more opportunities for growth and progress.”
