State Chairman of National Freight Haulers Association (NFHA) Frank Anu has been sworn in Happy Erhimu as Chairman National Freight Haulers Association Ughelli North.
The colourful inauguration ceremony which took place at the Ughelli kingdom Hall recently saw the inauguration of executives of the 25 local government area of Delta State.
While Feilding questions from newsmen, Chief Happy Erhimu thanked God for the success of the inauguration ceremony and promised that within a few weeks positive things will happen in the LGA.
In his words, “I will discharge my functions, duties and responsibilities to the best of my ability. We are going to work with organisations, companies, individuals peacefully.
“Ughelli North Local Government Area is big so to ensure proper administration we are going to adopt the zoning method then have coordinators in each zone. This task demands honesty God helping us we are going to do our work diligently everyone will be satisfied with our performance.
“We are going to go about our duty legally with out the use of violence. No one will be hounded, harassed, persecuted or pursued. My Exco and all those that are going to work with me will be charged to maintain the peacefulness we have been enjoying for so long in Ughelli North as regards to National Union.”

State Chairman of National Freight Haulers Association NFHA, Frank Anu while swearing in the executives of the 25 local government areas, tasked them to discharge their duties without deceit.
“This association is a peaceful organisation. It abhor violence. It is an organisation that puts food on people’s table. It is poised to remove tears from the eyes of so many unemployed people in Niger Delta.”
Earlier in his welcome address,National Freight Haulers Association
Board Of Trustee Chairman, Hon Keston Okoro, said the association will hold seminars and workshops to address the issues of haulage.
He however appealed to the new executives to work in collaboration with organisations, companies and individuals to ensure that their operations are peaceful. ” NFHA is an authentic body so I won’t want you to go into the street with violence. If you encounter any difficulty, report to the appropriate quarter and the matter will be taken care of legally.”
While Feilding questions from newsmen,State Deputy Chairman, Daniel Akporido, appealed to the public to support NFHA in carrying out its functions and responsibilities effectively, emphasising that any fit young adult is qualified to be a member of the association.
Brume Esioih O ,Chairman National Freight Haulers Association Okpe Local Government Area, described the association as non political. ” It is office for all. It is not a political party. It is not for PDP, APC or Labour party members.
I believe that this good office will create more jobs for more Youths and reduce youth restiveness in the state and local government areas.
