Delta Lawmaker,  Owhofa, Adeda Donates Learning Materials To Primary School Pupils

The Honourable Member representing Ughelli North Constituency II,  Hon Barr Ohwofa Spencer and Hon Justice Okiotodoro Adeda has donated educational materials to pupils of Oharisi Model Primary School, Otovwodo Ughelli North Local Government Area as part of their contributions towards ensuring that basic education is accessible to the pupils irrespective of their background.

 

 

Hon Barr Ohwofa Spencer, who was represented by his Legislative Assistant,  Pastor Daniel Osiebe during the distribution exercise said; “The purpose of today’s exercise is to encourage the pupils to fully commit themselves to the educational system because without education our future and that of the pupils who our Leaders of tomorrow is not guarantee.

 

“As a representative of my people in the State House of Assembly, we are committed to playing key roles in improving the educational development of the less privileged in my constituency, hence I partner my brother and friend,  Hon Justice Okiotodoro Adeda on this donation.”

 

 

Speaking with newsmen shortly after the distribution exercise, Hon Justice Okiotodoro Adeda said; “This programme with the theme, “Supporting Education At The Grassroot Level In Conjunction With Youths In Government,  Presentation of Educational Materials To Pupils of Oharisi Model Primary School,  Otovwodo Ughelli, was organized to encourage the pupils in order for them not to give up on Education.  Because they are the future leaders of tomorrow.

 

“We can’t continue to wait on the government to do every­thing for them, we must sacrifice in our little way to support in moving the society forward. Items we gifted the pupils today includes , bags, notebooks,  pen, pencils and erasers.

 

 

“Over the years,  I have been committed towards  serving the needy and restoring hope to the hopeless and less privileged in our society. I am therefore encouraging parents and care givers not to give up on their wards, but should try their best to ensure that their children have access to basic education which is the foundation to a brighter future.”

 

 

Responding, the headmistress of Oharisi Model Primary School, Mrs. Oru Cecilia,  who was represented by Mrs Arhovwire Juliana, H.O.D Primary 1-3. Of the school  thanked the association for the gesture. She prayed to God to give the Donors more grace to continue to do good for humanity.

 

 

“On behalf of the school and the pupils, I want to thank the Honourable Member representing Ughelli North Constituency II in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Barr Ohwofa Spencer and Hon Justice Okiotodoro Adede for supporting the educational advancement with learning materials.

 

 

“I want to thank them for the donation and I promised to ensure that the materials will be used judiciously for the pur­pose intended,”  said.
