A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Emevor, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Olorogun Emmanuel Erezih, popularly known as Okpomo, has admonished Delta politicians to shun politics of backbiting, falsehood and destroying others just to earn recognition.
Okpomo gave the admonition on Sunday, while pointing out that, some politicians out of jealousy and desperation to earn recognition have been embarking on politics of gossiping, destroying others just to get favour in the next administration of Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, the Governor-elect in the State.
He noted that, “Our new Governor-elect, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori is someone whom I have known for years and he never listen to gossip, backbiting, and falsehood.
“Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori is a very smart and advance man, who will not listen to political gossip, rather he will welcome innovative ideas and he is committed and focus on the development of Delta State.
“Anyone who is indulging in such acts just to earn recognition or to gain political favour in the administration of our Governor-elect is only doing that in vain and will be incurring the wrath of God upon his/herself. It is better we embark on the venture of unity and progress rather than division”, Okpomo warned.
