In his determination to compliment government drive for the advancement of education in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, the Local Government Supervisory Councillor for Education, Dr. (Hon). Enakeno Christopher Ogbo, donated note books to Primary Schools in Isoko North.
Presenting the books to the headmasters and headmistress of the schools he visited, Dr. (Hon). Ogbo said the gesture was to assist pupils in the area with educational materials to promote academic excellence.
The Supervisory Councilor who also doubles as the Director-General of Prince Ogbo Political Forum, said, “Primary education is the basic and foremost right of every child, so its availability and provision should not only be the responsibility of the state but parents, households and political leaders.
“As we all know, primary education brings awareness amongst the masses, opens avenues for opportunities, as well as self-advancement and improvement and reduces chronic and inter-generational poverty”.
He advised the pupils to focus on their learning and not play away their time when they are expected to be in the classroom for learning, urging the pupils not to fall as a prey to anybody that they should be mindful of who they follow after school when going home, and not to pass through lonely road after school hour due to insecurity.
Dr. (Hon). Enakeno Christopher Ogbo, further admonished the pupils to pay deaf ear to anybody saying school is a scam, that school is never a scam, urging them to take their learning serious in order for them to be great men and women in future.
The Head teachers for the Primary Schools visited are, Mrs. Ubara E, Head teacher Olordo Primary School, Ozoro Mrs Florence Ogbo, Head teacher-Amawhe Primary School, Ozoro, Ekaruwe S.O, Head teacher Orokpokpo Primary School Iluelogbo, Mr Okpowe S, Head teacher Ogu Primary School Otor-Igho, and Mrs Uwekpe H.E, Head teacher Ellu Primary School, Ellu.
While receiving the note books, the Head Teachers and all the teachers appreciated Dr. (Hon). Enakeno Christopher Ogbo for his kind guesture and prayed God to bless and uplift him in all his endeavours, so that he will continue to remember the schools in Isoko North.
Schools visited by the Supervisory Councilor in this first phase of his note boos distribution are, Olordo Primary School, Ozoro, Amawhe Primary School, Ozoro, Ogu Primary School, Otor-Igho, Orokpokpo Primary School Iluelogbo, Ellu Primary School, Ellu,Bovi primary school, Ozoro.among others.
