Engr Donatus Umukoro, Retired Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Works, Delta state and Chief Executive Officer of Don Rose Event Centre, has died after a head on collision along Ughelli-Asaba road
It was gathered that the driver to the deceased was maneuvering a bad spot on the road within the Ozoro/Kwale axis of the Ughelli-Asaba road when his vehicle and a HighLander Jeep were involved in a head on collision.
Confirming the incident, Manager of Don Rose Event Center, Mr. Solomon Avwata said “the driver survived the accident and was the one who called to inform us that our boss had died in a motor accident. The news of our boss’s death hit every member of staff so badly; we are disheartened and weary, because our boss left us when we needed him the most.”
Engr Donatus Umukoro a devoted Christian of the Catholic denomination, retired as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Works, Delta state in 2016, he hails from Iyede Isoko North and Ofuoma in Ughelli North Local Government Areas of Delta state.
