A frontline councillorship aspirant for Jeremi Ward 1(8), Comrade Stephen Oghenekparobor has congratulated Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, whose election victory was upheld by the Supreme Court on Friday 19th, 2024.
Comrade Oghenekparobor who also congratulated the people of the State over the outcome of the case at the apex court, said, “This has finally put to rest every litigations as regards the Delta gubernatorial election”.
The councillorship hopeful called on the Governorship Candidates and their supporters of the APC, SDP and LP to accept the ruling of the Supreme Court in good faith and support Governor Oborevwori for the advancement of Delta State.
He said, “On behalf of my family, leaders and the people of Jeremi Ward 1 (8) and Ughelli South local government area, congratulate our dear brother, Leader, and Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, on their victory at the Supreme Court today.
“Today’s Supreme Court judgment is a confirmation of the Will of God and affirmation of the choice of the people in favour of Rt Hon Oborevwori as Governor of Delta State.
“And the judgment, no doubt, further reinforces the confidence of the people of the State have in the Judiciary of the nation just as it is seen as welcomed development that will further advanced democracy not only in the State but the country.” Comrade Stephen Oghenekparobor states.
He further appreciated supporters and leaders of the People Democratic Party, PDP who steadfastly stood by the Governor throughout the election cases spanning from tribunal to the appeal court and the Supreme Court.
“We all prayed fervently and hoped for the election case to end well. And it is has finally ended, and we got a favorable judgment at the Supreme Court to the glory or God. This is case for NO VICTOR, NO VANQUISHED as we all Deltans are winners and we all must celebrate in peace and unity.
“Therefore, I call on all supporters of the various political parties to support and pray for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to deliver maximally on the mandate given to him for more meaningful development of the State and empowerment of the people.
“Also, my beloved brothers, Sen Ovie Omo-Agege of the APC, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi of the SDP, and Mr Ken Peller of the LP to accept in good faith the verdict of the Supreme Court, and join hand with Gov. Oborevwori to move our State forward for the betterment and interest of our people.” Comrade Oghenekparobor added
