POOF Donates Learning Materials To 7 Primary Schools In Ughelli North

In a bid to ensure that less privileged children have access to basic education, Prince Oghenerukevwe Okifo Foundation, POOF, has presented learning materials to seven public primary and secondary schools in Ughelli North local Government Area of Delta State.

 

 

Chief Executive Officer of the foundation, Prince Oghenerukevwe Okifo, feilding questions from newsmen shortly after the presentation of branded notebooks, Biros, Pencils and Eraser to the head teachers, principals of Osuovwa Primary School; Oghara-Agbarha, Efe Primary School; Orogun, Mariere primary School; Mukoro Mowoe Primary School ;Evwreni, Agbarha-Otor Primary School ; Agbarha and Owhowha Primary School; Otogor, charged all students who have been lured out of  school to return back.

 

 

Prince Oghenerukevwe Okifo, said nothing was too small or big when it comes to helping the less privileged. ” giving is in my blood so if I don’t do what I am doing today I feel empty. If it comes to humanity I always put in an effort to make sure that I contribute my little best. I am committed towards serving the needy and restoring hope to the hopeless and less privileged in our society.

“I want to advise all youths who were lured by the saying that ‘school is scam’ out of school to return back to school now because you dont know what you are missing out of yet.  Standing before you is a graduate of Auchi Polytechnic and Ajayi Crowther University. School is not scam, school is good go there and acquire knowledge. Knowledge that you can’t get from living in the streets.

 

 

“our intention as a foundation distributing these learning materials today is not to snag a political appointment nor relevance for political office tomorrow but just to encourage the pupils irrespective of their background in order for them not to give up on education because they are the future leaders of tomorrow.

 

 

Responding, the head teachers; Mrs Moke Maria Emamoromo; Mrs Imoniero Agnes Naomi, principals of the schools visited  thanked the foundation for the grand gesture. They prayed to God to give the sponsors more grace to continue to do good for humanity. “On behalf of the school and the pupils ,we say thank you for supporting educational advancement with learning materials and promise to ensure that the materials will be used judiciously for the pur­pose intended.

“You are laying a good foundation for these children who are going to be the leaders of tomorrow may God Almighty continue to protect, provide , promote ,guide, direct you, above all may the Lord answer all your prayers and grant you your heart desires so that you can do more than this

 

 

On his part, Secretary of Prince Oghenerukevwe Okifo Foundation, POOF, Hon Desmond Okpako Duke said, “We can’t continue to wait for government to do every­thing for the indigent we must sacrifice in our little ways to support in moving the society forward. We have been around for four years, lifting lives is our aim and objective and we do this across the 36 states from personal resources. ”

 

 

The foundation also presented packs of LED rechargeable solar security lights with cash for the installation to Ughelli Area Command and Ughelli A division and installed street lights at 3rd Low Cost Road, Ughelli.

 

 

The donated items were received by the Divisional Police Officer of Ughelli ‘A’ division, CSP Sadiq Mana while Supol Badawusi Margaret and Supol Greg Ulifo received that of Ughelli Area Command on behalf of the Ughelli Area.Commander, ACP Ademola Adebayo.

 

 

The NGO during the day two of the charity exercise secured admission for three less privileged children between the age of 8,10 and 12 years at Oghele primary school Ughelli.

 

 

Members of the foundation during the presentation of learning materials include  Mrs Mariam Okifo, General Uba Esiri Darlington, Prince Famous Amrophe, Abodo Festus, Chief Israel, Precious Okifo, Perpetual Okifo, Jane, Solomon, Bernard.
