A body of retirees in Isoko South and North Local Government Areas, under the aegis of Association of Contributory Retirees (ACR) has endorsed the candidacy of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for Governor.

The retirees gave their endorsement to the PDP candidate after meeting with an illustrious son and anti corruption expert, Comrade Prince Kpokpogri who has been visiting various communities in the area, enlightening them of the need to make the right decision as far as the Governorship contest of the State is concerned.

The retirees who individually prayed for Sheriff Oborevwori, affirmed that the little they know of the sitting Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, is that he remains a good man in all ramifications.

Speaking on behalf of the body at the State level, the State Secretary General of the Association, Prince Etuwede said they had weighed the personality of Sheriff Oborevwori in comparison with others and concluded that he is different in character and approach, as well as graced to lead.

The State Secretary further affirmed that plans were on to mobilise the entire members using the ACR platform to get the members key into the agenda to deliver Sheriff Oborevwori as the next Governor of Delta State come Saturday 18th March, 2023.

On his part, the Isoko South ACR Chairman, Mr. Bernard Utho said they endorsed the PDP Governorship candidate, because he deserves to win based on his antecedents and blueprint on how to progress the State the more.

He equally explained that having listened to a respected son as Prince Kpokpogri, the Association had no other choice than to endorse Sheriff Oborevwori for Governor, in order for him to continue with the visible legacies of Govermor Okowa to deliver more dividends of democracy to Deltans.

At the meeting, Comrade Kpokpogri appreciated the retirees for their show of love and solidarity to the man with organic capacity to govern Delta.

He assured them they would not regret their decision to support Sheriff Oborevwori, promising to regularly update them on the activities of government when he must have assumed duty as Governor.
