Be Of Good Conduct, Shun Violence, Embrace Peace -Okoro Charge Isoko Youths

Pioneer Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro, PhD, has charged youths of Isoko nation to be of good conduct, shun violence and continue to foster peaceful coexistence between themselves.

 

Rt. Hon Okoro stated this recently in his office in Asaba, the state capital, when the executives of Isoko Youth Assembly (IYA), led by their Grand Patron, Comrade Paul Agbama, and the President, Comrade Onoriode Omagufi, paid him a courtesy visit.

 

Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro, who doubles as Adviser to the Governor on Rural and Community Development, posited that, a peaceful atmosphere is important for investment to thrive, stressing that only then would there be jobs for the teeming youths and people.

 

He said; “No matter where we find ourselves as sons and daughters of Isoko nation, we should have the knowledge of what we ought to do and working together as a team to satisfy our people.

 

“If Isoko is developed, it’s for the betterment of everybody; I really want to commend your coming together for this purpose and for your unity to form this body to promote the development of Isoko nation.

 

“As sons and daughters of Isoko, we have only one place, and that is Isoko nation. So we must learn to work together as a nation; and not creating divisions amongst ourselves. The real thing is that all of us must work together to produce the best results for our people.

 

“It is not about our money or what we stand to gain as individuals; we need to check ourselves regularly to know if we have been able to achieve what we ought to do at any given time.

 

“Even as we all work towards finishing strong, we must continue to thank God for giving us a God fearing and people oriented Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa; who always listen to his people and doing his bid to develop the state. So no matter what we have to do, being able to achieve peace is very important in order for the Governor to achieve his aim even though there is still a lot to be done in our land.”

 

Earlier in his speech, the President of Isoko Youth Assembly (IYA), Comrade Onoriode Omagufi, said that they were on a familiarization tour to the Pioneer Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, and to acquaint him with the happenings of the Isoko youths.

 

He noted that the Isoko Youth Assembly (IYA) is a well registered body of the Isoko youths, aimed at oneness and the betterment of Isoko nation.

 

On his part, the Grand Patron of IYA, Comrade Paul Agbama, thanked the Special Adviser for the warm reception given to them, and lauded his leadership prowess that has continued to bring peace and development to Isoko nation and Delta State at large.
