The last three nominees officially presented to Egbema Kingdom, have described the purported selection of Napoleon Egin Esq. at the residence of Chief David Bubor in Ofunama as an aberration and sacrilegious act to the esteemed tradition and culture of the kingdom.

The nominees, Messer Aboneje T. Eddy, Sapele Solomon and Meshack E Ubabiri, in the statement, called on the public to disregard the false information of the selection of one Napoleon Egin as Agadagba elect of Egbema Kingdom.

The statement reads; “Egbema Kingdom officially informed Ogbudugbudu Ruling House on the 24th of September to bring suitable nominee in line with the Egbema Kingdom gazette.

“After due screening in Ogbudugbudu community in line with the gazette, paragraph 3, which states clearly that ‘to qualify, a candidate must be a male descendant of an Egbema father and a non Egbema mother’.

“The said Napoleon Egin was disqualified alongside with other eight persons, as they did not meet the requirement of the gazette.

“Therefore, the story of the selection of Napoleon Egin at the residence of Chief David Bubor in Ofunama is an aberration and a sacrilegious act to the esteemed tradition and culture of Egbema Kingdom”, it added.

According to the statement, “on the 1st of October, 2022 at Ofunama, we (Messer Aboneje T. Eddy, Sapele Solomon and Meshack E Ubabiri) were officially presented to Egbema Kingdom.

“And Egbema Kingdom is yet to screen the three gazette qualified nominees presented to it. We therefore urge the public to disregard the false story of Napoleon Egin as an Agadagba-elect of Egbema Kingdom”, it clarified.
