Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Youth Development, Prince Sony Jifas Ogbon ,in continuation of the new year celebration, hosted women from Olomu kingdom, and other parts of Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta.
While celebrating with the women, Prince Sony Jifas Ogbon said he is happy that God kept everyone of them alive even in the midst of hardship and terrifying pandemic.
In his address, Prince Sony Jifas Ogbon admonished the women to keep faith alive urging them to pray for the peace and prosperity of the state.
He said,”New year is a time when hope is rekindled, I am confident that with renewed hope and commitment, the challenges of 2021 will be history in this year 2022″.
While thanking the women for their support and prayers, he gave bags of rice, vegetable oil, wrappers and cash gifts as part of the new year celebration.
The women who came in large numbers, dressed in their traditional apparels, was drawn from all the communities that constituted Olomu kingdom and its environs.
The women were excited and showed their gratitude with songs and acrobatic dance steps to the admiration of Prince Jifas Ogbon.
