Okowa’s Aide, Prince Sony Jifas Ogbon Donates Learning Materials To Primary Schools In Ughelli South

As part of his efforts to complement the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s educational desire in the State, an Olomu borne philanthropist and Special Assistant to the governor on Youth development, Prince Sony Jifas Ogbon has donated learning and teaching materials to primary schools in Ughelli South local government area of the State.

 

Prince Sony Ogbon while flagging off the presentation of learning and teaching materials to the primary schools pupils across the local government area said that it’s part of his plan to contribute to the society and encouraged the children towards education.

 

While presenting the materials to the pupils at Ogoni primary school, Prince Sony Jifas Ogbon said the gesture is his ardent desire to assist parents with educational materials in order to promote academic excellence and also encouraged the teachers to be committed and dedicated to teaching the children.

 

Addressing staff and pupils of Ogoni primary school, Prince Ogbon said, “I am aware of the difficulty and challenges some parents passed through in providing learning materials to their wards especially now that the country economy is not stable.

 

“I always feel bad whenever I thought of it because this has deprived so many children of continuing their academic persuit and in my little way I decided to support and encouraged the children because they are the foundation of any great nation and as well encouraged the teachers who are collaborators”.

 

Prince Sony Jifas Ogbon further urged the pupils to take their study serious as he charged them to make judicious use of the books and other learning materials giving to them.

 

Prince Ogbon stressed that these learning materials are some of the obstacles and problems hindering children educational career, said ” by the grace of God, you have gotten them and you must ensure to maintain everything that is giving to you”.

 

He therefore admonished teachers for their role in building a stronger nation by giving quality education to pupils in primary schools.

 

Assenrting that, Primary education was not the only the foundation for human capital development but national progress, he assured of his continuous efforts in complementing the effort of Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa with a view to achieving the common vision of qualitative and functional primary Education.

 

While speaking to Journalists, Prince Ogbon appealed to old students’ Association’s of Primary Schools, social groups, humanitarian clubs and organisations to contribute towards the development of primary schools in order to improve on their academic activities.
