Okpe-Isoko Monarch Bestows Chieftaincy Titles On Uduigho, Clement, Others

The Monarch of Okpe-Isoko kingdom in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, (HRM) Felix Omavuewegre Agbare Ekpolo has recently conferred chieftaincy titles on Isoko illustrious sons among who are Mr. Gift Ede Uduigho, the special assistant to the member, representing Isoko South Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly, and Mr. Oyibo Oghale Clement.

 

Speaking to newsmen immediately after the event, Chief Gift Ede Uduigho who was conferred with the title of ‘Otomo of Okpe-Isoko kingdom’ stated that he will give all the glory to God Almighty for the honour bestowed on him adding that the title is an enormous responsibility entrusted on him which however, calls for his dedication and commitment to work with other titled chiefs in the kingdom and the traditional ruler in order to ensure peaceful coexistence among members and to attract meaningful development to the community which is paramount.

 

According to him, the title will definitely spur him to do more because it has been his inspiration and dream to promote fairness and equity and to strengthen the traditional institution in Isoko. He urged the indigenes of Okpe-Isoko to be cooperative, law abiding and peaceful in the pursuit of their development goals.

 

Also in a similar vein, Chief Oyibo Oghale Clement, the Okpureaveha of Okpe-Isoko kingdom said he has been saddled with additional leadership responsibility and this could only be achieved if they would work together as one unifying force maintaining that, if the people can work with the traditional institution and government agencies, it will facilitate or invite government presence in the kingdom.
