Former Secretary to Delta State Government, Comrade (Chief) Ovuozourie Samuel Macaulay, has commiserated with the family of Chief Frank Ovie Kokori, over the demise of the Labour Icon who was a former Secretary-general of Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Gas Workers (NUPENG).

In a statement issued by his Media Assistant, Ovedhe Hezekiah, Macaulay described the late labour leader who passed on at the age of 80 during the week, as a great patriot, who dedicated his life and time to defend, promotes and fights for worker’s right.

The statement read in part; “On behalf of my family and esteemed supporters, I expressed my condolences and sympathy to the families and loved ones of Chief Frank Kokori.

“Chief Frank Ovie Kokori was a leader per excellence, an activist and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and an elder statesman.

“He spent a life of “sacrifice” to the struggle for the emancipation of the working class nationally and globally and the enthronement of democratic rule in Nigeria.

“We take solace in the knowledge that Chief Frank Kokori has gone to be with his Maker and he is surely resting in the bosom of the Almighty God. May the soul of Chief Frank Kokori rest in peace.”
