Ughelli Monarch Confers Urhukpe Isi On Engr Uwanogho At 30 Years Coronation Anniversary



The traditional ruler of Ughelli Kingdom, HRM Dr. Wilson Ojakovo, Oharisi III, JP,  has conferred a traditional title of Urhukpe Isi r’ Ovie on Engr Uwanogho Anthony Omonefe at his 30 years coronation anniversary.

Engr Uwanogho, a United Kingdom based philanthropist and IT expert has contributed to the growth of education in Delta state particularly Ughelli North, Ethiope East and Lagos state with the provision of educational learning materials, scholarship through his Connect 2Hope foundation.

In education, over 40 students were enrolled for 2022 Waec exam for free, 25 persons are beneficiaries of free Jamb registration and the provision of bore hole, presentation of uniforms, text books to pupils of Uduere primary school.

It would be recalled that Engr. Uwanogho had in 2018 electrified and equipped the library of both the primary and school schools in Uduere community to educational standard.

While conferring the traditional title of Urukpe Isi r’Ovie on Engr. Omonefe Uwanogho, ‘Light From Diaspora’ the monarch said, “The conferment of the chieftaincy title was in recognition of the recipient contributions and vision towards the development of the kingdom and his environment.

“I am calling on sons and daughters of the Ughelli, both at home and in diaspora, to always contribute their quota to the development of the Kingdom.

Earlier in his speech, the recipient, Olorogun Uwanogho Omonefe expressed his gratitude to God and the monarch for finding him worthy to be honored with a traditional title of the Great Ughelli Kingdom.

He said, “This honour from our traditional ruler has given me another chance and privileged to be committed to the development of our oil rich Kingdom, as the name implies, I will continue to give the Kingdom light as the chieftaincy title connotes.

He assured that he will not let Ughelli Kingdom and Uduere my community down as the interest and progress of the kingdom and my major concern.
