Ukodhiko Hails A’Court’s Judgement On Oborevwori

PDP House of Representatives Candidate for Isoko Federal Constituency, Pastor Jonathan Ukodhiko has expressed delight with the judgement by the Appeal Court in Abuja, which upheld Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori as the rightful Delta State Gubernatorial Candidate of People’s Democratic Party.

 

In a statement on Monday, Ukodhiko described the Appellate Court judgement as a “further validation of the will and aspiration of the Delta People which will be expressed on the ballot boxes come next year general election,“

 

“The Court of Appeal Judgement today is a clear confirmation that the Delta State Gubernatorial primary election of our great party, the PDP was conducted transparently”

 

“Also, there were strict compliance to the provisions of the Party’s constitution, and the electoral guidelines as provided for by both the New Electoral Act and the 1999 Constitution as Amended in the process of the primary election which saw the emergence of Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori on May 25.“

 

“Again, this Appeal Court ruling should be a final legal seal on the victory of our party as it is a victory for our people of Delta State”

 

“The court judgement has again, shown, Nigeria’s Judiciary remains a critical institution in the deepening of the nation’s democratic values, and I must commend Justice Peter Olabisi Ige for a brilliant judgment “

 

 

The former Delta Energy Commissioner, Engr Ukodhiko appealled to Olorogun David Edevbie to put to rest all contestations regarding the validity of Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori’s candidacy.

 

“I hereby call on my brother and partyman, Olorogun David Edevbie to join hands with Hon Sheriff Oborevwori in the task of consolidating the socioeconomic and political development of our dear State, Delta and bring more dividends of democracy to the people.

 

“Let there be no more litigations as they are mere distractions and hindrances. We are all winners and party members.It is time to come together as a united family Let us remain united and work to consolidate on our democracy,“ Ukodhiko added.
