Chief Executive Officer of Doctor Fish Agro Consult, Israel Yusuf, has called on government to create an enabling environment that will help businesses grow in Nigeria and wake up to policy formulation and implementations.
He made this call at the market place and business linkage forum to mark the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Warri, Delta State.
According to him, This gathering is an opportunity for people to collaborate, learn, network, share ideas as we believe that entrepreneurship is striving in Warri as the story is gradually changing.
The event which held in collaboration with the Delta State Business Development Service Provider, features arrays of speakers including Mr. Patrick Ekpe of PIND Foundation, Mr. Peter Onokpasa of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council and Dr. Charles Apoki amongst others.
The Doctor Fish Agro Consult and the Delta State Business Development Service Provider, annually organizes the global entrepreneurial week to serve as opportunity to collaborate and engage with organizations and individuals and entrepreneurs to expose people to the path of entrepreneurship and facilitate access to capital and resources to grow.
Addressing journalists, Dr. Charles Apoki said; “Entrepreneurship is not for everybody but only for those who showed interest.” He noted that his utmost joy was that PIND Foundation and the Delta State Government is involved in the program and appealed government to make entrepreneurship begin from the Secondary level to the tertiary institution, and should be made compulsory for all just as Mathematics is made compulsory.
On his part, Mr. Patrick Ekpe of PIND Foundation appreciated the turn up at the program and called on young entrepreneurs to be diligent especially in today’s Nigerian economy that is dwindling and continue to do their best so that they can succeed.
The week long activities features GEW Walk, Teens Outreach, Business Linkages, Women Enterprise Worship, Business Clinic, Virtual and Physical Enterprise Summit and Mentorship Class.
