Isoko North Local Government Council Chairman, Hon Emmanuel Egbabor has flagged off the distribution of an intervention of the private sector Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID-19) palliatives from the Delta state Government to help cushion the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on Deltans.
Hon Egbabor who was accompanied by the Local Government CACOVID-19 Committee headed by himself as Chairman, Hon. Oviemuno Oghoore, Mr. Kome Ozue, Hon. Nicholas Areh, Ven. S. Okuda, Mrs. Evelyn Aluta, Mrs. Ejoboka.
Other members of the committee are; HRM Okpuzo R.E. Inana 1 Odiologbo of Owhe, HRM (Barr.) Uvietobore A. Ogbogbo Ibuka (JP) Ovie of Ozoro Kingdom, Mrs. Kome Ezoh, CSP. Ogedegbe Areguamen, and Mr. Peterson Ayana as members, on the flag off for onward distribution to the Ward Committee who will in turn distribute them to the beneficiaries at each Wards.
While flagging off the exercise, Hon Egbabor said the items are to be distributed to 179 households irrespective of their political parties noting that, “each ward among the 13 Wards in Isoko North Local government are to benefit 179 households per ward. And the items to be distributed are; 5kg bag of Garri-179 per Ward, 5kg bag of Sugar-179 per Ward, 10kg bag of Rice-179 per Ward, Macaroni Pasta, Spaghetti Pasta and 358 cartoons of noodles per ward.
He also appealed to the ward committee to ensure that the beneficiaries get the listed items even as he called for the support of well-meaning individuals to support efforts of the state government to make life more bearable for the people.
