The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council and Candidate of the PDP for Delta State House of Assembly, Udu Constituency, Hon. Chief Jite Brown has lauded the choice of Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa as the running mate of the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in next years election in Nigeria.
In a statement issued by Brown, he congratulated Okowa on his emergence as Atiku’s running mate, saying Okowa as a committed PDP stalwart and politician of unquestionable integrity from South-South Nigeria further attests to the commitment of the PDP to fairness and equality.
Brown said: “I wish to congratulate my political leader and Governor of Delta State, Senator (Dr.). Ifeanyi Okowa on his emergence as the running-mate to our flag-bearer, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in the forthcoming presidential election.
“I am confident that Okowa, will be committed to ensuring that the five point agenda of the Presidential Candidate of the party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar geared towards the overall development of Nigeria.
“I, therefore, have no doubt that he would continue in that illustrious tradition by working together with Alhaji Atiku to actualise the dream that our great party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), represents, for the benefit of our dear country held down by APC’s misrule of the last 8 years
“I use this opportunity to congratulate all party stakeholders most especially the Presidential Candidate for the success of the process in the selection of the Vice-Presidential candidate; this process has once again demonstrated to Nigerians the preparedness of PDP to run an efficient and transperent government”, the statement added.
