Some suspects were arrested and have been charged to court accordingly.

“Immediately after the incident the various communities that make up the clan in unity petitioned BEDC headquarters in Benin and the company immediately took up the case, swung into action and the result is what we are seeing today. BEDC wasted no time in stepping into the situation and restored light to the affected clan”.

Rev Sunday however appealed to all electricity consumers in the clan to pay their bills promptly at designated payment point to avoid being disconnected emphasizing that they should pay their bills at the designated pay point because some of the previous bill have been paid into wrong hands without reflecting in the recent meter readings and if possible they should pay through POS machines and not cash to some persons who have not been remitting the money to BEDC in the past.

He commended the effort of Chief Ohwo Ovuakporie, the President General of Owhelogbo, for the exemplary role he played in the struggle that eventually saw to the restoration of the light which was cut off from the Community for more than six months while appealing to the company to engage some of their best skilled workers in the area so as to eliminate unscrupulous activities and the speedy completion of the registration/capturing of all consumers in the area
