Ministry of Women Affairs, Set To Train, Retrain Skilled, Unskilled Delta Women

The Delta State Ministry of Women Affairs, Community and Social Development are set to train and retrain skilled and unskilled women from the 25 Local Government Areas of the State.

 

In a statement signed by the State Director of Information, Dona Obuseh, he stated that the Delta State Ministry of Women Affairs, Community and Social Development, has commenced the issuance of forms free-of-charge, for empowerment of women across the 25 local government areas of the state.

 

 

“The empowerment programme is in two phases. The first phase is aimed at up skilling the vocational skills of indigent Delta State women who have acquired skills in a chosen vocation but are yet to be equipped for the vocation. All applicants for the up skill training must have obtained prior requisite skills in the vocation of their choice.

 

 

The statement continues “The second phase targets the unskilled Delta State indigent women to enable them access and acquire skills for economic empowerment. The free application forms can be obtained on a first come, first serve basis from the council secretariat of their various local government area of origin with effect from Tuesday, 28th July, 2020 to Monday 10th August, 2020.
