Okpe Communities Honours Kenneth Ewetuya

Two Okpe Communities, Adagbrassa-Ugolo and Ughwagba in Okpe Local Government Area, Delta State came alive as they hosted one of their sons, Hon Kenneth Ewetuya, a councillorship hopeful in Okpe Desiec Ward eight.

 

The event which took place in Adagbrassa-Ugolo Community Town Hall witnessed large turn out of persons from far and near.

 

Hon Jackson Enukanerhire in his speech said that the epoch occasion is to honor their son, Hon. Kenneth Ewetuya who has done much to the communities by solving some of the pressing problems of the communities.

 

He said, “Adagbrassa and Ughwagba communities had been in total blackout for a very long time, we have tried to fix the light, but all our efforts failed, but Ewetuya came and he solved all the issues as regard to the light problem.

 

“Today, we have light, the two Communities affected came together and say no, if you have a son that have done well, it is good to show appreciation, that is why we are gathered to say thank you”.

 

Also, Mr Wilson Ivwrighen, Chairman Ughwagba Community, said ” it was like a child’s play, the light issue we have suffered for years, you came and settle it in five seconds from nowhere, you solve our problems, and we agreed to show appreciation, God will surely reward you”.

 

He admonished all the youths in the communities to emulate Ewetuya for his humanitarian service and good will as he said, ” He is the least person I expected to wipe away tears from our eyes.”

 

Pa Smart Azanor who is the most senior man in Adagbrassa-Ugolo community commended Hoon. Ewetuya who thought in his mind to restore light to these Communities, he described as a good child.

 

In his remarks, Hon Kenneth said ” I am very happy, I and my entire family, we are all very happy for the show of love and appreciation from these communities, promising to continue to contribute to the department of the community.

 

“Who am I, that a whole community will gather to honour like this? The community is for everybody, when I came to fix the light, I never knew many were watching as I go about the light issue, I never knew I have done one great thing until today that you people called to honor me, I am full of joy, I am overwhelmed for this warm reception”, Ewetuya stated.

 

Those that graced the occasion are, Chief Dick Gberevbie, Mr Adolor Gberevbie, Chief & Chief Mrs James Onakpoma, Mr William Eyarunu, Pa Smart Azanor, Mr Peter Okoro, Hon Jackson Enukanerhire, Mr London Avwotuhwaye, Pa Green Eruaga, Hon Igugu Ogheneovo, Chief Paul Orekevwie, Queen Helen Jonah, Mrs Ann Thomas, Comrade Joseph Afabor, Mr Wilson Ivwrighen, Madam Felicia Ukerun, Mr Freeborn Egbevwore among others.
