Old Students Celebrate Akugbene Grammar School Golden Jubilee, May 20th

The Akugbene Grammar School Old Students Association (AKUGSOSA) will on Saturday 20th of May, 2023 celebrate the school’s golden jubilee.


The celebration which will begin on Friday 19th and end on Sunday 21st May, 2023 is scheduled to hold at the school premises in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State by 10am each day.


In a statement signed by Hon. Chief Yerin Ekpedibo Yerin, Chief Administrator, AKUGSOSA and Mr. Victor Ebipade Ayabotu, Chairman Publicity Sub-Committee, stated that the occasion will be chaired by the Iyatsere of Akugbene-Mein Kingdom, High Chief J. T Penawou with Senator James Manager as Special Guest of Honour.


According to the statement, “dignitaries also expected to grace the occasion include President General of Urhobo Progress Union, Chief Ese Gam Owe Esq. and Rt. Hon. Nicholas Mutu as Guests of Honour; HRM S. P Luke Kalanama VIII, Pere of Akugbene-Mein Kingdom and First Vice Chairman, Delta State Traditional Rulers Council will be the Royal Father of the Day.


“There will be lots of fun, intellectual discuss with a novelty football match on 19th May, thereafter key projects will be commissioned in the school premises on 20th May.


“We urge all Akugbene Grammar School Old Students Association and members of the public to come and celebrate our school that was founded over 50 years ago”, it added.
