Ayeke Mercy Wins Face Of Urhobo 2021

Ayeke Mercy Oghenesuvwetoba has emerged winner of this year’s face of Urhobo Beauty Contest, carting home a brand new car as star prize.

 

 

Mercy beat about ten other contestants to emerge winner of the coveted contest held recently at the Quest FM/TV Station Event Center Ughelli, Delta State.

 

 

Organized by Chief Ambassador Joseph Udusan Orekereke CEO of the URHOBOWOOD INT’L, the event which is the 7th edition was an opportunity for aspiring models to achieve their dreams. According to Orekereke, this year’s edition was better than all previous editions because they always strive to do better every year.

 

 

He said “Face of Urhobo Beauty Contest was created to make a difference in the pageant world by helping girls to be self-reliance, while also erasing the negative perception of pageantry.”

 

 

In her address Mercy thanked the organizers and her DG Comrade Emmanuel Eterhe for making this year’s edition and her dream a reality. She thanked her friends, family and her fans that stood by her and voted for her during the contest. “I am thankful for family, friends and you all who support and love me genuinely. I am looking forward to receiving my star price as I am told it is not ready today and other opportunities this crown has in stock for me and my career.”

 

Popularly called MercyB, Ayeke Mercy Oghenesuvwetoba hails from Agbon Kingdom, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State. She is a model, actress, artist and student of University of Benin Mosogar Campus. She likes singing, dancing and reading. She cares about the poor, aged and children. She is a giver, hardworking, God fearing, trustworthy and lovable. By winning the contest Mercy made history for being the first contestant from Agbon Kingdom, to ever win the pageant.

 

 

Despite the organizers not handing the winner of this year’s face of Urhobo Beauty Contest her star prize of a brand new car at the event, highlights of this year’s edition included music, dance, comedy, raffle draws, and other side-attractions. The event drew Urhobo dignitaries from home and abroad.
