Chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Delta State Chapter and International President Heroes of Faith Ministries Headquarters, Bishop (Dr.) Kingsley Enakirerhi, has charged the youths of Nigeria not to quit their cry for justice through peaceful protest until change, justice, good governance and lasting peace is achieved.

Enakirerhi, fielding questions from newsmen recently appealed to the youths not to go home and sleep because the peaceful protest has been hijacked by hoodlum’s days after to cause the chaos that was witnessed in some States. He said “God who delivered us from COVID-19 is able to deliver us from bad government, SARS/SWAT from old men remaining in power and the youths parading the streets jobless whereas most of them in government now where already leaders in their 30s and 40s

“Anything that oppresses the citizens must give way this include the government, anything in uniform that is against the people must give way and every oppression of the government to make those in uniform penniless and poor so that in a bid to hustle to make money they oppress the citizens must stop.

“The police force, customs, immigration, those in the oil sector and politicians need orientation because the order of the day is corruption, stealing and looting nobody cares about the citizen’s. Tribalism must be wiped out from this nation we need citizenship so that whatever position you occupy, you are occupying for the betterment of Nigerians.

“The youths shouldn’t go home and sleep they should continue because the change they desire must come. God is able to change and transform Nigerian but you must play your part. Remember what Obasanjo said, that it is time for the youths to take their destiny in their hands and if they don’t we are in trouble.

“Let it come to a level where they will say we do not want a councilor, local government chairman, house of assembly, representative member, governor, senator or president that is above 40 years. In 1960 who were the people that fought for our independence? Anthony Enahoro, Awolowo, Nnadi Azikiwe how old were they? How old was Gowon who became the president of this nation, Buhari was 34 when he became governor how many 34 year old are governors, senators or in the house of assembly, representative, today?

“When are the youths going to take over if those who ruled us in their thirties are still ruling in their 70s, 80s when will those in their 30s and 40s have time? I am in my sixties and I say it is time for every old man to quit the throne and let the youths take over leadership just as it was before independence. We need restructuring this handpicked constitution of 1999 by one single man Abacha must give way.

“Let us go back to the 1960 constitution that brought the four federal units together. We must devalue power nobody sits at Aso Rock to divide resources again, every region must gather their resources pay taxes and take care of their environment. That was how Awolowo was able to build the first TV station, university and cocoa house.

“Let us go back to the 1960 constitution that is restructuring no other thing as the present house of Representative, Senate cannot give us any constitution because it is lopsided majority wins the votes. Before the confederacy we had four regions with four ambassadors in UK we must go back to that not this 19 states North, 16 states South so every time you vote we cannot have a voice no that is dupe that is my take.” He said
