All Progressives Congress candidate for Delta State House of Assembly,  Isoko North State Constituency,  Dr. Enahoro Michael, (OFR), has said that, he is poised to create a difference in governance and representation if given the mandate by the electorates.

Dr. Enahoro stated this in a chat with newsmen in his office in Ozoro, headquarters of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State,  positing that, legislature is not all about acquiring wealth, building mansions but putting the people needs first and meeting their needs.

He said that; “The yearnings of my people clamouring for effective representation, good governance and dividends of democracy, motivated me into the race. As a legislator,  what I need is just to be elected and work with external agencies on how to attract development to our people.

“I have a document which I will be working with that contains all problems of each of the communities in Isoko North Local Government. Like in Ozoro here, I have mapped out a master drainage system that I will partner with World Bank to do it. In Owhelogbo,  I’ll ensure that, the Nursing School that was approved to them come to reality. All I need is the mandate of my people to go and represent them, and solve the problems that have bedeviling each of these communities in my Constituency.

“My drive is to create a difference in Governance. So that people will know that Governance is not all about buying of big cars and acquiring wealth. But meeting the challenges of the people.”

Dr. Enahoro Michael further stated that,  he is optimistic that, he will win the general elections,  noting that,  “Politics has gone beyond party lines, if you take the statistics of those that have PVC and don’t belong to any political party. You will know that, Politics has gone beyond party and I’m relying on those people that have voters cards and are without party for my victory.

“And I even have some friends in PDP that I know very well that will vote for me. PDP is just a name and APC is just a name. It’s high time,  we look beyond party lines and vote for candidates that can deliver dividends of democracy to our people. So I’m relying on the electorates for victory.

“I am appealing to the electorates to look beyond cosmetic and vote for me. They shouldn’t look at my status or appearance. They should look at my antecedents and vote for me.  Across the Isoko North, I have attracted meaningful projects to some communities like Enagbedhi, Otie, Emevor, Ozoro and others.

“I appeal to my opponent that lost in the primary,  Survyr Peter Akarogbe to join hands with me so that we can achieve victory in the general elections.  He is my father and an APC faithful who has contributed immensely to the growth of the party.  I appeal to him to forget all that has happened and join hands with me so that I can win in the general elections.”
