Inclusion of Youths As Commissioner Designates: Urhobo Youth Leaders Commend Oborevwori

The Urhobo Youth Leaders Association, has commended Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for the nomination of youths as commissioner designates.


In a statement signed by National President of Urhobo Youth Leaders Association, Olorogun Ambassador Samuel Oghotomo, also congratulated all those that made the list from the 25 local government areas of the state.


Oghotomo, a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), described the nominated commissioner designates as persons of high intellect with vast experience.


He noted that the governor had taken into consideration age, competence, ethnicity and gender in appointment of those that will form his cabinet.


Oghotomo applauded Oborevwori for identifying youths, technocrats and competent hands to handle affairs of the state.


Describing the governor as someone who is knowledgeable about the function and character of the state and as such knows those he wants to appoint, Oghotomo pointed out that most of the commissioner designates are people who are conversant with his manifesto.


“The Governor had appointed the best hands who would add value to governance and facilitate the actualisation of the M.O.R.E Agenda in the next four years.


“I strongly believe that going by their political experience as human resource experts and seasoned administrators with their wealth of experience in government, they will make immense and significant contributions to the development of Delta State,” Oghotomo stated.


While appealing for the appointment of more youths into his led administration, Oghotomo, however advised the appointed youths not to see their appointment as self-empowerment but to give maximum support to Governor Oborevwori to enable him to deliver on his electoral promises to Deltans as well as to develop the communities.
