NUJ Delta Congratulates CP Ari Mohammed Ali On Elevation To AIG

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council congratulates the Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Ari Mohammed Ali on his well deserved promotion to the office of an Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG).

Since assumption of office as Commissioner of Police in Delta State, the NUJ has had an understanding with him on issues bordering on operational partnership, security of Journalists and assistance when necessary.

We can attest to the fact that so far so good; the cordial relationship that has existed between us is one to cherish for a long time.

As the man at the helm of the internal security of the State, he has done well since resuming office. He did introduce some professional and crime preventive techniques that had yielded enormous security gains to the State, apart from some unavoidably unfortunate circumstances, including the recent unwarranted murder of a popular phone dealer in Asaba, Late Onyeka Ibe.

Never the less, as the fourth estate of the realm, we have had a good working relationship that will be retained in our memoirs for a long time. As the umbrella body of all practicing journalists in the State, we wish the CP the best in his new office and as he steps into the next phase of his career.

Congratulations to him.
