Hon. Lucky Oweimieotu, a frontline chairmanship aspirant for Burutu Local Government Council, has congratulated Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi, a member of the House of Representatives representing Burutu Federal Constituency, on his recent victory at the Court of Appeal in Lagos.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Oweimieotu praised the court’s decision as a triumph for justice and expressed confidence in Pondi’s ability to continue representing the people of Burutu.
“I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi on his resounding victory at the Court of Appeal. This ruling is a testament to the strength of our democratic institutions and the unwavering commitment to justice,” Oweimieotu said.
“I have always believed in the integrity and competence of Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi, and I am confident that he will use this mandate to further advance the interests of our constituency,” he added.
The Court of Appeal’s decision has solidified Pondi’s position as the legitimate representative for Burutu Federal Constituency, affirming the choice made by the electorate during the February 25, 2023 elections.
The ruling brings an end to the legal battle surrounding his mandate, providing a stable foundation for him to continue his legislative duties.
