The Senior Special Assistant on Youth Development, Engr. Philip Efe Onyeke, has congratulated the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on his victory at the Supreme Court.
It can be recalled that on Friday, the Supreme Court dismissed the appeal filed by Ovie Omo-Agege, the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), challenging Oborevwori’s victory in the March 2023 gubernatorial election.
Onyeke, in a signed congratulatory message, stated that the judgment delivered by the Supreme Court attests once again to the fact that Oborevwori’s victory in the last election was divine, as it aimed at liberating Deltans from the evil motives of the APC.
According to the statement, “the decision of the Supreme Court did not come to me as a surprise because beyond winning the election freely and fairly, I knew that Oborevwori’s emergence as Governor was divine.”
“I congratulate my boss and leader, His Excellency Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and his Deputy, Sir. Monday Onyeme, on their victory at the Supreme Court which puts to an end all litigations arising from the March 2023 gubernatorial election. Especially at a time when the APC was on a mission to return Delta State to its dark days, this victory has further boosted my confidence in the rule of law and in our electoral processes.
“By this judgment, the Supreme Court has shown that Governor Oborevwori and his deputy, Sir. Onyeme, were duly elected by the vast majority of Deltans to pilot the affairs of our dear state for the next four years,” he added.”
