The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council condoles with Sapele Chapel of the NUJ over the loss of one of its members, Mr. Russia Omene.
Mr. Russia Omene until his tragic death, was a practicing journalist on the list of Sapele Chapel, who did his journalism practice with a high level of ethical standards.
The union is saddened by the news of Omene’s demise, being a gentle, peace loving and responsible member that the public loved to deal with in his capacity as a journalist.
We are by this condolence statement, sympathising with the family of Russia Omene, and particularly, the Sapele Chapel where he had practiced and fraternised with his colleagues over the years.
The irreversible loss of Omene has brought to the fore, the frustration and pain journalists privately go through when they lived all their career lives serving the public at the detriment of their family time and peace of mind.
It is our prayer that God in His infinite mercy, accepts the soul of Russia Omene into His bosom.
